We’ve been experiencing many and frequent intermittent connection problems with our Comcast internet for the past month. The web browser will hang, then report the server can’t be found. When the page is refreshed again, everything is fine. We also have a VoIP phone that keeps rebooting due to this problem.
Before I start trying to get Comcast involved, I’d like to know if anyone else is seeing the same problem? This would tell me if it’s isolated to our equipment or if it’s more widespread and a problem with the lines outside. I read that in another case, it was caused by squirrels chewing threw the cables.
For those technically inclined, I am seeing two errors on my modem log. The first is ‘SYNC Timing Synchronization failure – Loss of Sync’ followed by ‘No Ranging Response received – T3 time-out’. These two things are happening every couple of minutes.
Anyone who reads this message, it would help me to know either way of you’re having internet problems or not. We’re at 3963 Bridle Pass, at the problem may be localized to the connection in our area.
Thanks,
-Brian

We have Comcast internet and cable and we haven’t had any problems at all (knock on wood).
I have Comcast Internet and phone (3962 Bridle Pass). I have not had any problems lately. I did have to upgrade my router in Dec 2014.
