It’s time to replace the 17 year old Frigidaire refrigerator that we bought when we moved in. The issue I’m seeing is that now it is almost impossible to find a replacement with 26cf of space that is not taller than 68 1/8 inches tall. The cabinets we have above the fridge limit anything taller than that. All the refrigerators made now seem to be 69in and taller.
My question is if anyone has had to replace their refrigerator to fit that space and what make/model you found?
The only other option would be to remove the cabinets above the refrigerator, and that’s a new set of problems.
We got a new fridge from Sears (Kenmore model 106.7200) in 2014. The largest capacity we could find to fit into our opening height of 70″ was a 21.7 cf model that is 69″ high (so there’s 1″ of clearance).
